Additional Testimonials

“Thora is currently working with me to help me refocus on what’s important to me in terms of my career. I am extremely impressed with the approach Thora has used so far which allows me to prioritise what’s important to me, focus on my key strengths and we have started to set some short/long term goals in a logical and methodical manner.”

Senior Marketing Executive, Royal Mail

“I used the Career Exploration services provided by Thora when unsure about my future career path after completion of a PhD in science. I was impressed with the usefulness of the tools she uses and her genuinely helpful and flexible approach. The programme helped me to re-examine my strengths and needs in a very organised and focussed manner.”

Kasia Bankowska, Pirbright Institute, Surrey

“Thora is one of the most committed team members I have ever had. Passionate about whatever she does and is prepared to put in the time to deliver more than expected.”

Carlos Keener, Director, Beyond the Deal

“Thora has helped me find my direction. As a mature student and having almost completed my degree I was unsure of what I wanted to do next. I have found out more about myself and the program has been both fun and interesting. The ICCS system works very well and as a consultant Thora was great.”

T Vilhjalmsdottir Wright, Reykjavik, Iceland

“We have greatly appreciated Thora’s time and effort. She has helped us by reviewing progress, assessing needs and setting goals. Warm, approachable and resourceful, her skills have helped clients in their goal to return to the workplace.”

Amanda Robinson, Deputy CEO, Oakleaf Enterprises

“I have known Thora as her PhD supervisor, as a colleague and friend. The topic of her thesis, the data collection methodology, and her interpretation of the data made a significant contribution to management theory and practice. Moreover, the project, which was conducted within the context of mergers and acquisitions, filled a large gap in that field. Later, at my invitation, she contributed a chapter based on the findings of her doctoral research to one of my books, entitled International Business Partnerships: Issues and Concerns. (Basingstoke: Palgrave, 2001). Since the completion of her doctoral studies, Thora has pursued a successful professional career.”

Dr Monir Tayeb, PhD supervisor

Published writer in trade and academic journals, including International Business Partnerships: Issues and Concerns.

Bolstered with an undergraduate degree in Psychology, Thora went on to complete her PhD, The Human Element in Business Acquisitions: A Process View of Success. Her success in this led to Thora’s receiving acclaim and notice, prompting an invitation from her PhD supervisor to contribute to a book entitled, International Business Partnerships, published by Palgrave MacMillan. This book has been used extensively by Universities world-wide.

Completing her PhD at Edinburgh Business School, Heriot-Watt University, and passed by Dr. Desmond Graves of Templeton College, Oxford University, her thesis examines the culture change and individual experiences during the post-merger integration phase, and the impact on the success of the acquisitions. The topic, data methodology and interpretation are considered to have made a significant contribution to management theory and practice.
